Coach Spahija's starting five: Jackson, Zoosman, Thomas, Bolden and Parakhouski. The yellows were more focused at the beginning and a three pointer by Bolden gave Maccabi the 7-5 lead. Maccabi got stuck on the offensive end, Jackson was subbed after missing three consecutive shots. CSKA struggled as well and five minutes into the game the locals had the 11-10 lead. De Colo started taking control over the game but good performance by Tyus kept Maccabi close as the first quarter ended with the locals leading 21-20.
Jake scored at the beginning of the quarter to give Maccabi the 22-21 lead, but CSKA reacted with a 12-0 run by De Colo and Rodriguez (33-22). CSKA increased their lead to 16 points but Jackson reacted with a three pointer (40-27). De Colo continued imposing his will as CSKA had the 49-34 lead at halftime.
CSKA started the third quarter with De Colo's pass to Clyburn who scored from distance to give the locals the 56-38 lead. Cole reacted (56-40), however back to back threes by Antonov made it 62-42. Maccabi reacted with Zoosman and Tyus, but the locals kept their composure as they were leading 70-50. Cole and Thomas scored seven points to finish the third quarter strong as Maccabi were down 72-57 with 10 minutes remaining.
Cole continued his momentum from the third quarter with scoring, stealing and passing the ball to Cohen who took down the locals lead to 72-63. De Colo punished with athree pointer, Cole reacted with a three of his own, Kane scored to make it 81-74 however this time Rodriguez scored from downtown to give CSKA the double digit lead again. With a minute left Bolden scored two free throws after an unsportsmanlike foul was called, Cole capitalized and scored as well to bring Maccabi closer to the locals (90-84). De Colo who was unstoppable scored from distance with the buzzer to give the locals the 101-86 win.
