Taking it game by game, the time has come for THE game as Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv will face Anadolu Efes. The Turkish team is coming to Tel Aviv in great form, but the squad in yellow and blue are already waiting, lurking with their sights locked and loaded on getting a win that can give them an incredible boost just before the final bout in their playoffs quest begins. The game will be broadcasted on Sport5, 21:05 local.
"Tomorrow we are playing against a very good team", said Coach Giannis Sfairopoulos. "The fourth team in the standings, a team that is very talented and with a full roster and quality in every position, they've won 7 out of their last 10 games. We need to be very concentrated and to follow our plan, we want to play good defense in order to stop them because they are really talented, they have players that each one of them on a good day can kill you, so we need to be focus on stopping them and also to have good ideas on offense and to know what we want to do on the court and to keep them on their week points. We expect the arena to be full and me personally and the players expect the crowd to be our sixth man".
"We're at home so we do feel confident", said Angelo Caloiaro ahead of the game versus Anadolu Efes. "We know they are a great team and they are fourth in the EuroLeague for a reason. We got to play hard and with energy we'll definitely use the crowd help to get us going and we're excited for it. Every day you come in and work so since the beginning of the season we've had more practices so you obviously get better from just practice alone and we have been winning and on a little streak right now so we do feel confident right now, but they are a good team and it's going to be tough, we gotta play our A game. We never really stopped believing in our chances of making it to the playoffs even with our poor start, we battled back and we've put ourselves in a great spot to have a chance at it and we know that, we know that the last couple of games are big and we gotta take them one game at a time".
"It's a really big game", said Jeremy Pargo. "I think you can really sense the excitement around the team, you can just see the energy in this place, we're looking forward for tomorrow. We're in a good moment and we want to do our best to keep the moment going, hopefully we can go higher just sustain what we have right now and continue to build, come out here and focus in practice and be ready for tomorrow".
