Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv traveled south for their away game at Be'er Sheva wanting to continue their positive momentum. The squad in yellow and blue took the early lead and never looked back increasing their lead with every minute passing by not allowing the locals to breath on both ends of the court enroute on an impressive 76:99 away win. Coach Giannis Sfairopoulos' squad will now focus on their upcoming EuroLeague game against Barcelona on Thursday.
Coach Sfairopoulos' starting five: Wilbekin, Roll, Zoosman, Cohen and Black. The yellow and blue offense shared the ball beautifully as they took the early 3:7 lead. Be'er Sheva tied the game but Roll scored a three pointer that sparked a 13:0 run giving Maccabi the 9:22 lead with less than a minute remaining in the first quarter. Rothbart was the las to score in the quarter with his team trailing 14:25.
Both teams struggled to score at the beginning of the second quarter with the visitors being the ones to capitalize as they increase their lead to 17:32. Hapoel Be'er Sheva tried to get back to the yellows but coach Sfairopoulos' squad kept their composure and the double digit lead (28:43). With less than a minute remaining Braun scored from deep but Levi reacted for Maccabi who took the 45:33 halftime lead.
The squad in yellow and blue started the second half thundering increasing their lead to 35:56. Colman scored five points to try and bring his team closer to Maccabi but John-Di reacted with a three point play to make it 40:61 with just over five minutes remaining in the third quarter. Maccabi kept controlling the tempo until the end of the third quarter having the 50:73 lead.
Cohen and Pargo increased Maccabi's lead at the beginning of the fourth capitalizing on both ends of the court taking the 53:80 lead. Every attempt made by the locals to try and get closer to the yellows was answered right away as the squad of coach Sfairopoulos' squad made it 60:90. Be'er Sheva's went on damage control but that's all it was with Maccabi defeating Be'er Sheva 76:99 on the road.
