Maccabi Kicks Off One Team 2014

As part of their participation in One Team, the Euroleague’s community service project, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv held an exciting meeting with two youth teams.

Last month, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv held their first One Team event with the first two teams to join the project; two children’s basketball teams, one from south Tel Aviv and the other from the Rehovot branch of Special Olympics.

Taking part in the special practice were Devin Smith, David Blu, Guy Pnini and Nikola Vuj?i?. The players contributed greatly to the success of the evening, giving the children an unforgettable experience with the hope that this will be but the first of many such events.

The purpose of the activity is to work on such skills as cooperation, proper ways to communicate, and especially building self-esteem and teamwork.

We are pleased to announce that since that first meeting two more teams have joined the project, and two more will be joining soon. We expect that by the time the season ends we will be working with a total of ten teams from all around the country.
