Avi Even, who served for Maccabi Tel Aviv BC in a multitude of roles in the past 17 years, will be appointed as Sporting Director. He will replace Nikola Vujcic, who announced that this year will be his last, at the conclusion of this season.
Club Chairman Shimon Mizrahi commented about the move: "In my eyes, it is only natural that Avi Even, who in his previous role served as the Head of Scouting and Player Development, will be assigned the important and consequential role of our Sporting Director. This, after he was right-hand man to Nikola Vujcic, who deserves our deepest gratitude for his loyal service to the club, both as a player and as a Sporting Director".

"I feel great privilege to be appointed as the Sporting Director of a glorious club as Maccabi Tel Aviv", Said Even, "It is my chance to thank the owners and management for the trust they give me after 17 years in a range of roles in the club. I am happy to be here".
Even added: "We built a solid roster for the current season and we will work to create the continuity that we wish for".
"It's the right choice of the right person in the right time", Added David Blatt, Head of the Professional Committee at Maccabi Tel Aviv BC. "Avi's experience and knowledge, along with his acquaintance with the players' market, make him a successful selection as the next Sporting Director of the club".
