Born and raised in South Dakota as the son of a basketball player, Iverson played collegiate basketball for the University of Minnesota for three years, before transferring to Colorado State for his senior year. He averaged 14.2 PPG and 9.8 RPG and received an honorable mention for the All-American team, as voted by the Associated Press.
Iverson was selected 53rd in the 2013 draft by the Indiana Pacers who traded him to the Boston Celtics. Iverson couldn't secure a spot on the roster and chose to play in Europe. He spent the 2013/14 season playing for Turkish side Besiktas. The following year he moved to Spain, to play for Lavoral Baskonia. During 2015/16, Iverson returned to Turkey and played for Karsiyaka. He managed to score 9.9 PPG in 17 Euroleague and Eurocup games.
