Sherf moved Bynum to the start five together with Nikola Vujcic, Terence Morris, Omri Casspi and Yotam Halperin. CSKA started with David Andersen, Matajz Smodis, Ramunas Siskauskas, Trajan Langdon and J.R. Holden.
Maccabi went for Vujcic who scored and dished to Casspi on the way to a 0-5 Maccabi lead. Langdon took the game on himself and helped CSKA take a 7-5 lead after three minutes. Two three pointers by Holden and Langdon helped push the margin to 16-10 but Maccabi played tougher defense and stayed in the game before Esteban Batista and Alex Garcia came off the bench to bring Maccabi just one point short, 22-21 after one quarter.
Six points in a row by Batista pushed Maccabi to a 27-29 lead, but that was also the last time the Yellow side was up. Langdon and Smodis hit six in a row for CSKA to take the lead back until Langdon was on fire and led CSKA to a 38-31 lead. Bynum scored four in a row and passed for a three basket by David Bluthenthal on the way to a 38-38 tie. CSKA scored four in a row before Bynum hit a three pointer of himself on the way to a 42-41 CSKA lead at the half.
Holden started the second half with back-to-back long range shots as CSKA took a 48-41 lead. Maccabi scored only two points in the first five minutes of the second half while CSKA continued to keep the seven point gap, 52-45. Batista with four points in a row kept Maccabi alive but another turnover forced Sherf to call a timeout. Maccabi came back with a bucket by Bluthenthal, but then Garcia missed an open lay up in a fast break and stopped Maccabi's momentum. Maccabi relayed on aggressive defense and saw Bynum hit again from long distance to make it just a 63-57 entering the last quarter.
The last stretch of the Euroleague season started with a three pointer by Siskauskas. Halperin and Bluthenthal missed from the same range on the other side, and a three pointer by Smodis capped an 8-0 run and a 14 point lead for the Russian side. Ettore Messina saw Bynum and Garcia score four points in a row and took a timeout and even after Bynum scored from close range and Morris from the far side CSKA found the way to score again and secure the win, 91-77.
