Winner’s league quarterfinal series has ended with a smile, but the journey is still long. After eliminating Hapoel, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will host Bnei Herzeliya on Thursday (21:00 local, 2 pm ET) for game 1 in the semifinal series.
Ante Zizic will return to Maccabi’s roster at the expense of Jalen Reynolds. Aside from Reynolds, both Angelo Caloiaro and Khyri Thomas will not be included in the squad. The full roster includes John Dibartolomeo, Scottie Wilbekin, Keenan Evans, Derrick Williams, Roman Sorkin, Oded Brandwein, Oz Blayzer, Jake Cohen, James Nunnally, Ante Zizic, and Yiftach Ziv.
“We are excited to reach the semis and meet an excellent team,” said the Yellows coach, Avi Even. “We are coming from a difficult series, but one that helped us build more as a team.”

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv made another step towards its final goal of the season – a fifth consecutive championship title. The Yellows fought hard and battled past Bnei Herzeliya with an 82:76 victory and went 1:0 up in Winner’s league semifinal series.
Maccabi trailed at halftime, but an improved second half, in addition to Scottie Wilbekin’s 24 points, pushed the champions to an important win. Game 2 of the series will be played on Sunday (20:30) at Hayovel gym.
