Canadian small forward Oshae Brissett signed for Maccabi in 2025. Brissett played 243 NBA games with four different teams, and was part of Boston’s championship-winning squad in 2024.
Brissett is a long and versatile wing who can play shooting guard or power forward. He brings an energetic and aggressive playing style, excellent on-ball de-fense, athleticism, and a relentless pursuit of loose balls and offensive rebounds.
He was born on June 20, 1998, in Toronto, Canada, to Jamaican parents. His mother, McKeitha McFarlane, and father, Bernard Brissett, separated shortly after his birth. When he was 15, Brissett joined Findlay Prep in Nevada — one of the top U.S. high schools for player development — where he played alongside future NBA players like Dillon Brooks and Kelly Oubre. He then dominated at the FIBA Americas U18 championship for Canada, leading the maple leafs to a silver medal while posting a team-high 17.6 PIR in the process – more than even Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
After his time at Findlay, Brissett spent another year at a basketball academy near Toronto, during which college offers began pouring in. He eventually chose Syracuse University in New York State and immediately became a key player. In his freshman year, he averaged around 15 points and nearly 9 rebounds per game — numbers he largely maintained in his second and final season.
In the summer of 2019, he returned, fittingly, to Toronto and signed with the Raptors. He split time between the Canadian team's squad and its G-League affili-ate, appearing in 19 games in his rookie NBA season. Brissett later joined the Indiana Pacers and impressed by averaging 10.9 points and 5.5 rebounds over 21 games. By doing so, he earned himself a three-year contract with the Pacers, and during the 2021/22 season, he played in 67 games — including 25 starts — aver-aging 9 points and over 5 rebounds per game.
In the 2023/24 season, he joined Boston, where he continued to contribute ener-gy and winning plays off the bench. Brissett appeared in 55 regular season games under coach Joe Mazzulla and 10 more in the playoff run that ended with the Celtics claiming the NBA Championship. This past season, Oshae split time between the G-League and the Philadelphia 76ers, appearing in six games for the latter.
