The Yellow & Blue have won both games in the Israeli league, as Giannis Sfairopoulos squad comes into today's clash after a tough fought 84:69 victory over Red Star Belgrade in Menorah Mivtachim Arena.

Maccabi will be without Othello Hunter, Tyler Dorsey, Angelo Caloiaro, and Sandy Cohen, who will sit out this game. "We play against a team that plays really well with high energy, especially on their home court". Said Coach Giannis Sfairopoulos towards the match against the Oranges. "We have to be concentrated, to follow our game plan, to hit their weaknesses, and play solid on defense".

Nadav Zilberstein's squad is a great rebounding team (42 in their last game against Ironi Nahariya) while they play well as a unit. They lost their season opener 81:93 to Hapoel Jerusalem but recovered in the previous week with a 79:71 over Nahariya (49:30 impressive second half).

The young Power Forward/Center Yonatan Atias got to see his first action at the professional level facing one of his ex-teammates Eidan Albar who was loaned from Maccabi this summer to Ness Ziona.

Maccabi's next challenge will be this Thursday, as they will face Valencia for their second straight home EuroLeague game. After that, the Yellow & Blue will host Hapoel Jerusalem in league play.
