An impressive and important win that seemed within reach slipped from Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv's hands today (Thursday) following a poor fourth-quarter performance. The Yellows managed to come back from a 14-point deficit against Monaco but broke down in the last ten minutes and suffered their 11 loss in 14 games on the road in the Euroleague, 67:86.
Wade Baldwin (17 points) and Bonzie Colson (16) deserve honorable mentions as they carried Maccabi through the bad start to the game, but despite their efforts, the Yellows couldn't clinch a win that might have proved crucial in the battle for top 8.
Oded Kattash's team, which now has a 13:13 record, will face Fenerbahce and Anadolu Efes next week. Winning two in a row would definitely make up for the loss tonight.
