With a depleted roster, no chance of making the playoffs, and against the odds, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv once again found a way to defeat a strong opponent and prove its heart and spirit. A brave run in the final 100 seconds of the game saw Oded Kattash's squad securing a 91-88 victory over Monaco at the Aleksandar Nikoli? Hall in Belgrade on Thursday.

The triumph marked Maccabi's third consecutive EuroLeague win and continued the team's recent momentum. The Israeli champions did that despite missing injured bigs Jaylen Hoard and Jasiel Rivero, but showed determination and persistence throughout the game, frustrating Mike James and his teammates.



Trailing by six points with 1:41 left on the game clock, clutch scores by Roman Sorkin and Rokas Jokubaitis led to a 9-0 run and a massive victory. Those two were also the yellow's leading scorers with 18 points apiece, while Levi Randolph added 17 and Trevion Williams posting 15 points and 11 boards.

Maccabi improved to a 9-20 record in the EuroLeague with 5 games left in the regular season. Up next for the squad is a visit to Ness Ziona on Sunday.
