Washington DC and New York City celebrate 60 years to Israel


Over 50,000 people participated on Sunday in an impressive salute event to honor the 60 years anniversary of Israel that was held in New York City and Washington DC.

In the capital city the city center was populated by supporters who came to see a concert by the group "Mashina" and other local bands. In New York City was held the traditional parade on the fifth avenue, led by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

One of the exhibit in the parade were the faces of Maccabi Tel Aviv captain, Derrick Sharp, who's face were picked to represent one of the faces of the country of Israel, as an American who lives in Israel as a local citizen.
