Sofo to Remain with Maccabi

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv is pleased to announce that it has activated the option that existed in Sofoklis Schortsanitis' original contract, and he will be staying with the team for the coming season, 2014-15.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv is pleased to announce that it has activated the option that existed in Sofoklis Schortsanitis' original contract, and he will be staying with the team for the coming season, 2014-15. There is also an option for the 2015-16 season. Sofo will be starting his fourth season with the team.
 
Head coach Guy Goodes, who flew today to Barcelona to take part in a Euroleague coaches' conference, said, "We're very happy that Sofo is staying with us. He is part of the foundation of Maccabi, and the connection with him is excellent for both sides. He is one of the top players in the Euroleague, and is one of the people responsible for our great achievements last season, so it's only natural that we would keep him with us."
