Oded Kattash, who signed at the club in the previous summer, will remain as Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv’s Head Coach for next season. In his second stint on the team’s bench, Kattash succeeded in making the new roster gel together. He led the Yellow-and-Blue squad to the EuroLeague Playoffs with the best home record in the competition, bringing Maccabi a whisker away from a Final Four birth. In the Israeli league, Kattash led Maccabi to the first seed in the playoffs.
“I am grateful for the trust the ownership and the club put in me”, said Kattash. “I am extremely happy to continue the special journey we started together. I will do everything so that together we will fulfill the club’s goals. And a word to the fans - keep being what you are for us and let’s keep being excited together”.

“I am happy and proud that Oded will coach the team next season”, stated Avi Even, the new Sporting Director. “We began a process this year and continuity is the key. As the season went along, the team progressed and gelled under Oded and his staff - and so did the players on a personal level. He deserved lots of credit for that”.
Club Chairman Shimon Mizrahi added: “I know and appreciate Oded for many years, since the days he wore the team’s uniform as a leading player. We are in the final stage of the 22/23 season and after the riveting series against Monaco in the EuroLeague Playoffs, with Oded holding the coaching reigns ahead of the Winner League Playoffs and with a view towards next season. Non is more deserving that Oded to continue as the team’s coach next season, in order to create continutiy in the Head Coach position, along with the players roster”.
