Rakefet Arieli, a clinical and sports dietitian, has been Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball club's nutritionist since 2017/18.
Arieli grew up in Kibbutz Dafna. In her youth, she played basketball in Hapoel Galil Elyon and, as an adult, also played for Ashdod, ASA Jerusalem, Emek Yizrael, Petah Tikva, Beer Tovia, and Hadera.
Arieli graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in clinical nutrition and holds a certificate in sports nutrition from the International Olympic Committee.
Over the years, she has worked at "Hillel Yaffe" Hospital, Maccabi Haifa Football Club, and with various Israeli national teams (basketball, football, and swimming).
