Forte is an American guard who was an outstanding player at the University of North Carolina from 1999 to 2001. He was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 21st pick in the 2001 NBA draft. Forte played in the NBA for two seasons, for the Celtics and the Sonics, but was unable to replicate the impressive talent he showed in college. He moved on to the D League, and in 2005 he moved to Europe, where he signed with Greek Club Patras. In 2006-2007 he played for Siena, where he had an excellent season that included winning the Italian Championship. From there Forte went on to many other teams in Europe, including Russian club Kazan, as well as
Bologna and several other Italian clubs. His last team was Petro of Iran, in 2012.
