A dramatic ending to the game in Or Yehuda vs Maccabi Givat Shmuel. With four minutes from time the hosts led 62-56. But two three pointers by Beno Udrih brought Maccabi back into the game. With 8 seconds to go they led 69-68 when Gur Shelef missed two free throws. In the final play kelly McCarthy missed a three pointer and David Blatt could sigh in relief.
Both teams were on a poor shooting night. Maccabi had 43% in FG and 44% in FT and Givat Shmuel 36% FG and 61% FT. Maccabi led 35-34 at the half and took a 51-42 lead in the third period. But Givat Shmuel made a comeback and looked like winning the game until the dramatic ending.
