Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem was the only team to beat (76-74) Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv in the Premier League this season. But in front of 2,000 spectators in Yad Eliyahu, it was different story and Maccabi blew out their rivals 100-64.
Maccabi players scored their first points after only four minutes (Jeruslaem led 5-0) but at the end of the first quarter they opened a 28-14 lead. At the half it was 50-32.
In the final quarter Maccabi played with Israeli players only – Shelef, Sheffer, Saffar, Lubin & Halperin. They increased the matgin from 23 pts to 36 at the end. This defeat means that Jeruslaem will not take part in the Top Six stage in two weeks time.
