A week after the Cup Final. Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv faced once more Maccabi Givat Shmuel. And once again a 13 pts win for Tel Aviv, 82-69.
In spite of the absence of their injured captain Oren Aharoni, the visitors once again caused plenty of problems to David Blatt’s team. They came back from 10-17 down to end the first quarter 20-17 up. Just before half time Maccabi took a 38-36 lead. Givat Shmuel evened at 49-49 but at the end of the third Maccabi had a 55-49 lead which was increased to 78-60.
Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv ends the regular season in first place with only two losses. Next week they start the playoff semi finals vs the team in fourth place… Maccabi Givat Shmuel.
