Anthony Parker returns to Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv after an absence of one season. The 28 years old American small forward that won with Maccabi two championships, two national cups & the Suproleague Cup in 2001, played this season for Roma who finished second in the Italian League.
Parker appeared this evening in a satellite interview from Orlando, Florida, during a press conference in the Hilton Hotel in Tel Aviv. He said he was excited to return to Tel Aviv and to the Maccabi Club. He has signed a contract for two seasons.
At the press conference the coach for the last two seasons David Blatt, declared that he is staying with Maccabi for the fifth season and will work along head coach Pini Gershon as they did during the 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 seasons.
A new assistant coach will be 28 years old Dan Shamir, who was assistant coach with Hapoel Jerusalem for the last three seasons.
