The Israel National Team lost 78-84 vs Slovenia in the opening game of the Acropolis Tournament in Athens. This in the perparation stage for the European Championship. This evening Israel will play Greece & tomorrow vs Poland.
Tal Bursttein led Israel with 18 pts. Yotam Halperin scored 16, Yoav Saffar 11 & Derrick Sharp 3 pts. Saffar is captaining the team in this tournament after the suspension of Gur Shelef. Lior Lubin has been elimimated & will not take part in the European Championship.
