Gur Shelef today returned to train with the National Team in preparation for the European Championship that opens next Friday in Sweden. Shelef was suspended by national coach Muli Katzurin for publicly criticising the coach’s decision to eliminate Lior Lubin from the team. Shelef did not play with the team in the Acropolis Tournament in Athens this week.
For Shelef it will be the fourth appearence in the EC. Yoav Saffar, who replaced his as capatain in Athens, will keep the captanicy in his second EC. Derrick Sharp will also play in his second EC. For Tal Burstein & Yotam Halperin it will be their first European Championship.
