Lithuania reached the final of the European Championships in Stockholm with a 74-70 win over France. They will play tomorrow (21:00) vs Spain who vear Italy 81-79. Lithuania & Spain also made sure of a place in next year’s Olympic Games in Athens.
MVP of the game was Sarunas Jasikevuicius, the new point guard of Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv. In 35 minutes he had 14 pts (4-8 for three), 10 rbds & 7 assists. Stombergas was top scorer for Lithuania with 22. Tony Parker, from the San Antonio Spurs, scored 24 pts for France.
