A 15-0 run in the final period gave Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv a 78-64 win over Ulker Istanbul in front of 9,500 spectators in the Nikia Arena (new name for Yad Eliyahu).
After the presentation of the new Maccabi team, the visitors opened a 14-5 lead and at the end of the first quarter led 26-16. At the half it was 40-33 for Ulker. Maccabi improved in the third and led 54-53 before a great final period. Maccabi players made 9 from 13 three pointers (69%) and pulled down 31 rbds to Ulker’s 26.
