Bruno Sundov, the Croatian center with five years experience un the NBA, will play for Maccabi in the Euorleague. Sundov is due to arrive in Tel Aviv this evening.
The decision to add Sundov to the squad was taken after it became clear that Yoav Saffar will not be able to play anymore this season because of his injury. The addition of Sundov will send Anton Kazarnovsky on loan to Haifa/RamatHasharon.
Sundov will play only in the Euroleague as Maccabi has already the full quotation of players for the Israeli Premier League.
Sundov was born on February 10, 1980 in Split, Croatia. He is 2.18 m tall and plays as center. He went to high school in the US and was chosen by Dallas Mavericks at the 1998 NBA draft. Played two seasons in Dallas, two seasons for Indiana Pacers, & last season for Boston Celtics. He stayed with Boston this season but sufferd some injuries and was released in February.
Sundov will travel with Maccabi to Belgrade where they will play on Wednesday a friendly game with Red Star.
