An excellent opening game of the season for Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv over Bnei Hasharon – an 94-64 win in Raanana.
Maccabi took a 19-6 lead but the hosts closed the margin to 24-20 at the end of the first quarter. Maccabi won the second period 28-9 and at half time led 52-29. The trend continued at the third (27-12 for Maccabi) two minuted into the final period the lead was 81-44 but Bnei Hasharon closed it to 30 points at the final whistle.
Maccabi dominated the rebound (46-27) with 10 rbds for Vujcic and 9 for Green. They had 60% in field goals to 35% for Bnei Hasharon.
MVP for the night was Yotam Halperin who played 27:30 minutes, scored 25 pts in 75% FG, pulled down 4 rbds, made 2 assists and 2 steals.
