Euroleague Champions Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv, will open the 2005/06 season on November 3 at home vs Polish Champions Prokom Trefl Sopot
. In the Draw carried out today in Prague, Maccabi was placed on top of Group B with Efes Pilsen Istanbul, Armani Milano, Winterthur FC Barcelona, Cibona VIP Zagreb, Prokom Trefl Sopot, Olympiacos Piraeus,& Lietuvos Rytas. Two of these teams Maccabi will meet for the first time in the Euroleague – Prokom & Rytas.
Group A: TAU Ceramica, Benetton Treviso, AEK Athens, Climamio Bologna, Zalgiris Kaunas, Union Olimpija, GHP Bamberg, Strasbourg. Group C: Panathinaikos Athens, CSKA Moscow, Montepaschi Siena, Real Madrid, Inicaja Malaga, Pau-Orthez, Partizan Belgrade.
