Tal Burstein scored 20 pts, dished out 6 assists & pulled down 2 rbds but did not prevent Serbia & Montenegro 93-77 win over Israel in the European Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia.
At the start pf the final quarter scores were even at 67-67 when the Serbs exploited Israel’s fatigue and ran 20-0. Yaniv Green scored 11 pts & grabbed 10 rbds and Sharon Shason scored 3 points.
This evening (18:30) Israel plays Spain. A win will assure Israel a place in the playoffs. Otherwise Israel will hope that Serbia will beat Latvia.
