After twice winning the weekly MVP title during the month of March, Maceo Baston has moved one step ahead and now he has been elected as MVP of the month. The Texas born Baston, who will celebrate his 30th birthday next month, has gone through a golden spell and is one of the reasons why Maccabi had a 5-0 record in March. Baston averages in March were: 15.6 pts, 6 rbds, 1.5 bsts. He made 68% of his 2 pts shots and 86.4% in FT. Since joining Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv in summer 2003, Maccabi has finished top of their groups in the Regular Season & Top 16 and twice won the Euroleague title. Baston says his ambition is to go for the threepeat. The award will be presented to Baston by Mr. Shimon Mizrahi, President of Maccabi Tel Aviv BC, before the game vs Olympiacos.
