Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv opened their Adriatic League program with a 78-72 home win over Cibona Zagreb. This was a close game which proved that the new league will not be a pushover.
At the end of the first quarter Maccabi led 21-19 and increased it to 30-23 but at half time it was only 41-39. After the third quarter it was 60-55 for Maccabi who opened a 72-66 lead. The Ctoats closed it to 72-70 but Bemo Udrih sole three pointer, made it 75-70 and finally a six points win.
A very impressive European premier for Quincy Lewis with 26 pts (5 three pointers), 2 assists and 2 steals.
