In a practice game without Lior Eliyahu and Yaniv Green, and a second half without Marcus Brown and Carlos Arroyo, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv lost to Gilboa/Galil, 93 – 70. Tal Burstein scored 16, Charles Gaines had 14. Omri Casspi injured.

With Lior Eliyahu and Yaniv Green injured, and Tre Simmons not feeling well, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv took on Gilboa Galil in a practice game on Monday.
Starting for Maccabi were Marcus Brown, Carlos Arroyo, D’or Fischer, Charles Gaines and Tal Burstein.
The starters for Gilboa/Galil were Gal Mekel, Brian Randle, Elishay Kadir, Dagan Yavzuri, and Dion Dowell.
Both teams played well in the opening quarter, with Gaines scoring an impressive dunk to open the game.
When Dee Brown subbed into the game for Marcus Brown, he played extremely well in tandem with Arroyo and Burstein, showing that the newcomer is finding his place in Maccabi.
Gilboa/Galil scored some impressive three-pointers, and the quarter ended in a tie, 21 all.
The second quarter started off with smooth teamwork between Dee Brown and Fischer.
Arroyo and Marcus Brown sat out several minutes of the period, with team captain Derrick Sharp and Dee Brown running a good offense in their stead.
Gilboa/Galil opened a small lead, and a technical foul called on Arroyo (his fourth foul of the game) didn’t help matters for Maccabi.
At halftime, the visitors led 43 – 34.
Gilboa/Galil opened strong in the third quarter, and their lead crept into double digits: after four minutes of play the score stood at 50 – 38 in favor of the visitors.
Gilboa/Galil took advantage of a few turnovers by Maccabi and the period ended with the visitors leading, 70 – 49.
The fourth quarter was a continuation of the third, with Gilboa/Galil steadily increasing their lead.
In the final minute of the game, Omri Casspi sustained an ankle injury and left the court.
Arroyo and Marcus Brown didn’t play at all in the second half.
Final score, 93 – 70 to Gilboa/Galil.
