HOOPSWORLD: Shimon Mizrahi – One of the Most Influential People in Basketball

The well-known website, HOOPSWORLD.com, has selected Maccabi’s Shimon Mizrahi as one of the most influential people in basketball.
The website described Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s supremacy in Israeli basketball, among other things.

The entire text reads: “Israel is a dominant basketball market and Maccabi is the top team in the country. The Maccabi fan base is worldwide and they have become an attractive launching point for NBA careers and are extremely competitive in luring players away from the NBA. Maccabi will play an instrumental role in whatever European expansion plans the NBA may be considering, as Maccabi is one of the more profitable brands in international basketball.”

The website is currently preparing its list of the top 55 most influential people in basketball today.
Obviously, most are connected in some way to the NBA, which is the central focus of the website.
The holders of positions 55 – 36 were published on Monday, with the remainder of the list to be published shortly.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s chairman of the board, Shimon Mizrahi, had this to say about his inclusion on the list: “I very much appreciate being chosen for the list, even more so because it shows recognition of my 40+ years of involvement.
I am also happy for the club, because the club and I are as one.”
