The center of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and the Greek National Team, Sofoklis Schortsanitis, arrived in Israel on Sunday morning and was welcomed by dozens of Maccabi fans: “I’m going to do my best, and we’ll try to get everything.”

The center of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and the Greek National Team Sofoklis Schortsanitis arrived in Israel on Sunday morning.
Dozens of Maccabi fans were on hand to welcome Big Sofo to Israel with flags and drums.
When Schortsanitis entered the arrivals hall, he was already wearing Maccabi yellow.
He was greeted by Gur Shelef and Ami Biton.
“I’ve been here a lot of times, and it’s a great feeling,” said Schortsanitis of the reception he received at the airport.
“I’ve never had anything like this happen to me.
Coach Blatt has put a lot of faith in me, and what I’m going to try and do is come out and every time I get on the court, to do the best that I can.
I’ve come to one of the best teams in Europe. I’m going to work hard with my teammates and Coach Blatt and try to be one of the best.”
“We’re going to try and get everything, make it to the Final Four, win the all the championships,” Big Sofo concluded.
“I know we want to bring back the Israeli championship title.
I promise to do everything I can for the team.
I’ve played against Maccabi’s fans before and it’s tough.
Now they’re going to be with me.
I hope we’ll have a great season.”
