At the end of a meeting between the managements of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, it was decided that the final game of the Euroleague championship tournament will take place at 16:30 local time in Barcelona. This will allow Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv to take part should they qualify.

On Wednesday afternoon, a meeting of the managements of the Euroleague (under the leadership of Jordi Bertomeu) and the Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv basketball club, represented by attorney Shimon Mizrahi, David Federman, and Eli Drikes, took place in the Euroleague offices in Barcelona.
Euroleague management showed a great deal of consideration in response to Maccabi’s request to change the times of the games on Sunday, 8 May 2011.
After overcoming many obstacles and going to great lengths, the following schedule was determined:
On Friday 6 May 2011, Maccabi will play against the winner of the quarterfinal series between Real Madrid and Valencia at 21:00 local time (22:00 in Israel).
The semi-final game between Panathinaikos and Montepaschi Siena will be held at 18:00 Spanish time (19:00 in Israel).
The Final on 8 May 2011 will get underway at 16:30 local time (17:30 in Israel).
The game for third place will be held at 13:30 local time (14:30 in Israel).
This is not the first time the Euroleague has shown such sensitivity and consideration regarding a rescheduling request made by the Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv basketball club.
In 2004, when the Final Four was held in Tel Aviv, the games were played on Thursday and Saturday, instead of the originally-planned Friday and Sunday.
The club expresses its deepest appreciation to the Spanish Minister of Sports, to the city of Barcelona, the television networks, the sponsors, and the clubs, whose cooperation made it possible to reach this optimal situation.
