MaccabiFans, the official fan website, in cooperation with the Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv basketball club, has embarked on a special project that gives fans the opportunity to bid farewell to one of the best-loved and most important symbols of the team, Derrick Sharp. “So Long, Farewell…It’s Not Over but It’s the End”
There is not a single Maccabi fan anywhere in the world whose heart didn’t break just a little upon learning that Derrick Sharp was retiring from playing basketball.
From the top brass in management to the lowliest of fans, everyone owes the eternal captain a huge Thank You.
This is your chance to thank one of the greatest symbols of European basketball and of Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv.
You are invited to send anything that comes to mind – photos, drawings, poems, letters, columns, clips, et cetera – and we will arrange them all in an elegant package which will be presented to Derrick at one of the anticipated farewell ceremonies.
Any truly outstanding materials will be published on the fan website, the official team website, and the club’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
