Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv’s hottest new acquisition, Jordan Farmar, landed in Israel Thursday afternoon ahead of the training camp scheduled to begin next week. Nearly one hundred excited fans were waiting to welcome him at Ben Gurion Airport.
Although Farmar, who has Jewish roots, has visited Israel before, it was easy to see his amazement over the reception he received as a Maccabi player: “I can’t believe this welcome. They’re excited, I’m excited. It’s fun to see so many fans here at the airport.”
