Earlier this week, injured forward Lior Eliyahu joined in the team’s practices in France, but he is not expected to play in the tournament. Head coach David Blatt and player Milan Maćvan will join them on Thursday.

Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv continues its preparation for the pre-season Angers Tournament in France; they face Cholet on Thursday. The team has been holding two practices a day. Yesterday (Sunday) they viewed film of their opponent, and Lior Eliyahu joined the team’s practice for the first time since being injured in Team Israel’s final game of the Eurobasket 2011 competition; Eliyahu is not expected to play in the French tournament, however.
The only two pieces missing from the puzzle are Maccabi’s head coach David Blatt, who is taking part in a Euroleague coaches’ conference in Istanbul, and Serbian forward Milan Maćvan, who was given a few days off to rest after his participation in Eurobasket 2011. Both are expected to join the rest of the team on Thursday. The team reports that the conditions in Angers are excellent and the team’s outlook is positive.
