Maccabi faced Bosna Sarajevo without the injured Yoav Saffar and the National Team players Shelef, Burstein, Lubin & Sharp. But still they expected an easy win vs the former European Champions, now only a shade of their brilliant past.
Things did not work like this. At half time Maccabi led 46-42 and after the third quarter it was only 66-65.
But the final period was all Maccabi (25-12) with the final score 91-77. The winners dominated the rebound (40-29) and the visitors were impressive with their three pointers (11-27).
