Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv kept on winning on Thursday, and did it in style. Despite a depleted roster, Oded Kattash’s squad impressed with a 77-67 victory over Virtus Bologna at the Aleksandar Nikoli? Hall in Belgrade. This marks Maccabi’s fourth consecutive EuroLeague win and their ninth victory in their last ten games across all competitions.

Rokas Jokubaitis led the Yellow & Blue with 19 points on excellent shooting (7-of-9 from the field), along with four assists. Jimmy Clark added 14 points, while Roman Sorkin extended his double-digit EuroLeague scoring streak to 11 games with 12 points. Trevion Williams also stayed in top form, recording his third double-double in a week with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Maccabi got off to a rough start, committing multiple turnovers and trailing by eight points after the first 15 minutes. However, Jokubaitis stepped up, and by halftime, Maccabi had taken a 42-33 lead. After the break, Clark caught fire, and Maccabi dominated the court, extending their lead to a game-high 24 points. The Italian side managed to close the gap slightly in the final moments, but it was too little, too late.

Maccabi played without Levi Randolph, who was rested, and without the injured Jasiel Rivero and Jaylen Hoard, but that didn’t stop Kattash’s team. Now, a tough stretch of games awaits, starting with a matchup against Hapoel Holon at home on Sunday, followed by a gruelling double EuroLeague week.
