With a crucial Game 5 against Monaco in sight, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv will face a different challenge tomorrow when they visit the capital to clash with Hapoel Jerusalem (Sunday at 9 pm Israel time). The Yellows will attempt to maintain the momentum from their impressive performance against the French on Thursday and defeat one of their strongest domestic rivals.

Maccabi and Jerusalem have already faced off three times this season, with the Reds winning twice, including in the Israeli state cup final. However, the Yellows won the last meeting last month in Jerusalem, providing a dominant display. Oded Kattash’s team also leads the historical head-to-head with 107 wins and 27 losses.

Both teams arrive at this game with something to play for. Holding a 21-4 record, Maccabi can clinch first place in the Winner’s League and secure home-court advantage throughout the playoffs, while the hosts (19-7) would still have a shot at second place in case they win.

Kattash decided to rest Lorenzo Brown and Bonzie Colson, and Maccabi’s roster for the game will include Wade Baldwin, Jarell Martin, Rafi Menco, Roman Sorkin, Guy Pnini, John DiBartolomeo, Darrun Hilliard, Jake Cohen, Tomer Agmon, Alex Poythress, and Josh Nebo and Yiftach Ziv.
