Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv ensured its fans would have a lovely Purim holiday with a big 104:73 win over Hapoel Galil Elyon today (Sunday). Menora Mivtachim Arena supplied a festive atmosphere with many attractions for the crowd, but the icing on the cake was the Yellows’ showtime performance on the court.
Every player on the roster got some playing time and scored points on an evening in which Oded Kattash’s team had 30 assists, scored 16 three-pointers, and forced 16 turnovers on its opponent. Roman Sorkin and Yiftach Ziv led the way with 17 and 16 points, accordingly.
The focus will shift now to the Euroleague. As the battle for playoffs enters its final stretch, Maccabi will host Fenerbahce on Wednesday and visit Turkey to play Efes Anadolu on Friday.
