It took Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv a while to get a first away win in the Euroleague, but when it comes to Winner’s league things are going pretty smoothly. The Yellows routed Hapoel Galil Elyon 96:67 today (Sunday), remained perfect on the road, and look ready to face Efes Anadolu on Thursday at Menora Mivtachim Arena.
Without Lorenzo Brown who wasn’t on the roster, Oded Kattash’s team started the game well and looked focused from the get-go. Rafi Menco, Darrun Hilliard, and Roman Sorkin pushed the guests to a solid 57:40 lead at halftime, which only grew as time went by.
Maccabi now has an 8:2 record in Winner’s league and will meet Hapoel Eilat next week in a game that will wrap up the first round.
