The yellows fought hard against the European champions but ended up losing 78:92 at home. Zizic scored 23 points
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv gave great effort, fought hard, and played excellent basketball at times, but it was not enough again. The yellows fell 78:92 to Anadolu Efes at Menora-Mivtachim Arena and suffered a sixth straight Euroleague loss.
Ante Zizic was excellent with 23 points, but the Turks showed resilience and proved why the European crown is still theirs. Every time Maccabi cut down the lead, Shane Larkin (26 points) was there to hold the yellows off.
Giannis Sfairopoulos’ team now hold a 7:9 record in the Euroleague and will try to bounce back against Zenit St. Petersburg next Thursday in a game that will end the first round of the competition.
