Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv suffered its fifth consecutive Euroleague loss, 79:90 to Fenerbahce, and will try to break the negative streak on Thursday against Anadolu Efes at Menora-Mivtachim Arena.
Giannis Sfairopoulos talked before the game in Turkey about the players’ commitment to winning again, and judging by the last quarter, he was right. The yellows cut a 21-point deficit to just 5 in the closing minutes but unfortunately couldn’t do more than that.
Maccabi now holds a 7:8 record that the Israeli champs will try to balance versus the European champions from Turkey. With 11,000 noisy fans in the stands – it’s not an impossible mission.
