The Yellows will play two Euroleague away games in 48 hours, the first of them against the Italian powerhouse. Reynolds: “We need to put the puzzle together”
The first challenge the Yellows will face is a clash with Olimpia Milano – arguably one of the strongest teams in the competition (Tuesday, 21:30 local time, 2:30 pm ET). Ettore Messina’s team is in good shape after beating CSKA Moscow and Baskonia and has big names like Sergio Rodriguez, Kyle Hines, and Luigi Dattome on its roster.
“Milano is a very experienced team,” said Giannis Sfairopoulos ahead of the classic. “all their players can kill you on any given day. We need to be very focused and play defense that will disrupt their game. I expect our players to play better than they did last Thursday and fight on both sides of the court. “
“We want to get a second Euroleague win,” Kameron Taylor added. “We must improve our chemistry and maintain energy throughout the whole 40 minutes. Once we control that, I think we’ll be a great team”.
Maccabi’s center, Jalen Reynolds, said: “I feel it is always challenging on away games, and Milano is a great opponent. We are a new team, and there will be a learning curve, so it is just about putting the puzzle together.”
