After deciding not to register, Othello Hunter, Tyler Dorsey, Angelo Caloiaro, and Sandy Cohen, Maccabi came into the game with only four foreigners (Tarik Black, Scottie Wilbekin, Quincy Acy, Elijah Bryant) with the absence of Nate Wolters. Tarik Black, Omri Casspi, John DiBartolomeo, Jake Cohen, and Deni Avdija impressed. Yovel Zoosman was unstoppable, ending his afternoon with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and a 19 performance index rating.

5 Maccabi players concluded the game in double-figures while four more were a bucket away from joining them as Deni Avdija grabbed 12 rebounds in the matchup. The young Power Forward/Center Yonatan Atias got to see his first action at the professional level facing one of his ex-teammates Eidan Albar who was loaned from Maccabi this summer to Ness Ziona.

Maccabi’s next challenge will be this Thursday, as they will face Valencia for their second straight home EuroLeague game. After that, the Yellow & Blue will host Hapoel Jerusalem in league play.
