In their last waro up game before the Euroleague Semi Final vs Panathinaikos, Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv this evening beat Ironi Eldan Ashkelon 107-93 in the first playoff semi final game.
] Ashkelon led 9-4 at the start but at the end of the first quarter Maccabi werer 24-16 up and at half time 51-44. After the third period the lead was 81-69. Maccabi played with Nikola Vujcic and the injured Deon Thomas and Ashkelon missed the injured Avi Sukar.
An excellent evening for Maccabi from behind the arc with 12-22 (Saras 6-9). Maccabi had 58% in FG.
MVP for the night was Maceo Baston with 23 pts in 71% FG, 11 rbds & 3 bsts.
