Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv was the guest of honor at an event sponsored by the Jewish Community of Rio de Janeiro on the eve of the second and deciding game in the Intercontinental Cup competition. The event was attended by approximately 300 people, who gave Maccabi’s players and club leaders a warm welcome. Among those in attendance were Israel’s ambassador to Brazil, Dr. Reda Mansour, the president of Maccabi Brazil, and the president of Maccabi Rio. Shimon Mizrahi, Tal Brody, and Alex Gilady made speeches.
