Richard Hendrix showed up to the team practice, but has yet to join in. “I’m happy to be back, it’s been awhile. I expect to reach the same achievements as last time. I’m here to play as hard as I can, and to do what I can to help the team. I’m aware that the League has changed, the balance of power has shifted, but we’ll control what we can. I’m looking forward to meeting the players and the staff. I’m not going to compare the two periods, but I am expecting to see the same spirit in the club.”
“Hendrix did not practice today,” said head coach Zan Tabak. “He landed at three in the morning and had a physical exam. We still haven’t talked; I will speak with him tomorrow. I only said to him, ‘Welcome home’. I want to sit with him and explain to him what we want from him. I expect he will play against Jerusalem. I didn’t have him practice, so all of us will need to adjust to one another.”
About the upcoming game, Tabak said, “I know that Monday’s game is important, and that they are an opponent we might meet in the Final, but my most important goal is that everyone will be healthy for the playoffs. In about another five weeks all of the players should be back on the court.”
